1. What does "personal use" mean?
"Personal use" means the commissioned artwork is intended for your own individual use, like using it as an icon or header for your personal profile. It's not meant for commercial purposes, distribution, or profit. You don't acquire the copyright for the commissioned piece, so it shouldn't be used for commercial usage unless we've specifically discussed and agreed upon those terms.
2. What about copyright?
You own your character, but I retain the artwork copyright unless we agree otherwise. Owning copyrighted artwork is a separate matter. So, please refrain from using the commissioned artwork with the intent of commercial use unless we've had a prior discussion about it. When I mention copyright, I'm referring strictly to its use for commercial purposes. I hope this clarifies it for you.
3. How many revisions are allowed?
Up to three revisions during the sketching phase.
4. Could you explain the refund policy further?
Certainly. I offer a refund if I haven't completed or delivered the commission within six months, or if I'm unable to fulfill the commission due to unexpected circumstances. However, once I've completed the commission and you've confirmed that everything is to your satisfaction, I won't issue a refund. It's essential that you communicate any concerns or corrections needed during the process, and I'll gladly address them.
5. Can you describe your workflow?
Here's how the workflow typically goes: You send me the character details, and we discuss things like pose and color choices. I provide a sketch preview for your approval. Once that's settled, payment is made, and I proceed to create the commission. After I finish the artwork, I send you a delivery order, and once you confirm it's complete, the process is done.
6. How long does it usually take to complete a commission?
Based on my experience, it can take around a week or less if I'm not too busy, depending on the complexity of the artwork. If my schedule is packed or the artwork is intricate, it might take a month or more. For simpler pieces, I can complete them in 1-2 days.
7. What about deadlines?
I generally don't impose strict deadlines unless they're manageable. However, we can discuss and negotiate deadlines if you have specific time constraints or preferences.
